1985
The Editorial Board was established all the way back in October 1985. Prior to this, the official college magazine was run by professors and working staff, but they were soon infiltrated by a bunch of keen students. These students preserved the legacy and were ultimately known as The Editorial Board, consisting of three sections - English, Kannada, and Art.
2006
Fast forward a few decades later to 2006, this tight-knit zealous group of people with an undying love for literature and art decided to create a space that constantly proved that studying in an engineering college didn’t mean losing touch with your creative side. ||SHABD||, the brainchild of a final year student named Gautam Ramadurai, has been through many iterations and is still going strong. It is the only literary fest held by an engineering college in Karnataka, which is no simple feat.
2020
Over the years we’ve also expanded to proudly celebrate our state’s language and culture during Kannada Rajyotsava. We also conduct Mindspeak and Aralikatte, which provide an incredibly free platform for students and professors to share their inner thoughts about the hows and whys of the world. We're all about people, their inspirations, ideas, and stories, and we can’t wait to hear yours!
