If you ever want to know who your Secret Santa is, just ask Suki. She’ll know. She knew before you even realised you were participating. She probably knew before Santa Claus himself did. She’s got the curiosity of a cat, the persistence of someone who simply needs to know, and information-gathering skills that honestly should concern the administration.
I would love to tour her mind someday—just a quick visit (maybe with a helmet on) just to see how the filing system works. Because whatever is going on in there clearly works. She’s incredibly talented and wildly creative, and her brain seems to run on a completely different, far more interesting operating system than the rest of us.
Speaking of the administration, remember when a teacher from some department decided to introduce themselves to her a little too personally? Dashing her with a car? An almost meet-cute with Truck-kun left her with a broken leg and a story that she’ll retell in a dozen different ways depending on the audience. Iconic behaviour.
Now let’s talk about her art. Suki will tell you she loves drawing—but what she really loves is creating gloriously disturbing, gothic, nightmare-fuel content that is dark, creepy, and utterly captivating. You know how most people have a sketchbook full of flowers and landscapes? Hers has things that stare back. And yet, despite all the horror she conjures, when her brother keeps asking her to draw for him, she always does just that—because she's a woman of many talents, and a sister of even more patience.
She’s into manga and webtoons, especially romance. But ask anyone who knows her well, and they’ll tell you her taste has range. One tab, a sweet slow-burn love story. The next? Something so wildly unhinged it'll make you do a double take, and she’ll be reading it with a straight face like just another Tuesday. Diva.
But here’s the thing about Suki. You can walk up to her with absolutely anything—your deepest thoughts, your weirdest hyperfixation, a rant about Belly from The Summer I Turned Pretty (which she will join immediately; the hate is mutual and strong), or a desperate cry for help with Biostatistics (she’ll hate it with you). And she will either match your energy exactly or look you dead in the eye and say, “That’s bullshit”. And you know what? She’s probably right.
She's the kind of person who makes the world feel bigger, brighter, and more fun just by being in it. Curious to her core, brutally honest in the best way, and somehow still the person you want to tell everything to. Because with Suki, you’re never too much, and never not enough.
We’re so glad that the teacher only got your leg. We wouldn’t survive without you.
