Have you seen a guy with Eren Yeager hairstyle and a well maintained Dallas Mustache, don't mistake him for a beardless Jared Leto — that's our very own Tarun, or should I say Inspector TaTa? But unlike our regular Police, he is very much reliable, he is like an omnipresent entity that is always there to lend you a hand even for as small a task as handing over a piece of paper. The very first time I met him, he was investigating a case of food train derailment (a very serious case), yet somehow his uncanny resemblance to 'mustache emoji' just baffled me. Excited, I quickly joined him on the investigation, given he seemed to be introverted just like me. He was lightning fast in solving the case and moved on to his next quest to catch the 'Panner' imposters along with his fellow subordinates. Through my interactions with him, I learnt about his love for sci-fi movies and how he liked Dune, The Lord of the Rings and similar sci-fi novel series, listening to him speak so passionately about them I had almost figured out that he was an astronomy enthusiast, and this speculation was confirmed after receiving affirmation from his fellow officers.
Inspector TaTa is also admired for the thoughtful ways in which he keeps the people in his jurisdiction happy, the gifts that he presents and the effort that he puts into writing their FIR… ahem belts are very well-known. This little story about him will put light onto how thoughtful he is — he once dug up the photos that one of his fellow officers had posted on a platform that literally no one knew about, compiled them to make a calendar out of them and presented it as a Secret Santa gift to her. If this doesn't make you wish Tarun to be your Secret Santa I don't know what will.
Tarun is a quiet guy, doesn't talk much, he also has a good rating on the 'paapa-ness meter' on the website, this is what you might think initially but as you get to know him, you see that he has a goofy side in him too. He is very quick with making subtle jokes and from what I've heard, he pulls off some good pranks as well, he is known for sending messages only to delete them moments later, leaving the recipient hanging. Apparently, he pulled the same stunt with a fellow Eddie, sharing a list of so-called 'important exam questions' before deleting them, leaving the officer puzzled.
Adding to this is love for games, he is into both playing and developing video games, in short, he is a crazy creative multitasker. Tarun is also into making Blender 3D models and building puzzle games. Looking at this wizard who creates virtual worlds and mind-bending games, I was mind-blown with the tricks he has in his bag.
This has brought me to a conclusion that it is nearly impossible to imagine the multi dimensions of Inspector TaTa and a mere civilian like me cannot do justice to his legacy, as he gets promoted and sets foot on a new journey. All we can do is wish him the very best and wish that “May the Tarun force be with us!”
