If you have ever laid eyes on a tiny kid around campus wearing a hoodie equipped with the most adorable smile and every so often teaching tiny little dogs how to drink water out of a tap, chances are you have spotted Sumi Lal. Over the years, Sumi has perfected the art of staying so still that she becomes one with the background (so much so it’d put Drax to utter shame). She spends countless hours on YouTube searching for horrible videos because she says, “They're so bad that they're good.” Sumi is a person of few words and is often very shy, but don’t be fooled by her timid looks for there are rumours of her utter badassery going around about how she uses an iron box as a substitute for hot water bags and so on.

She is such an ardent simp for Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Dan and Phil that it won’t be a surprise if I wake up one day to headlines that say she broke into one of their houses to read their grocery lists.

Jokes aside, Sumi has a very soothing presence which particularly comes in handy during the occasional chaos that comes with hosting Shabd. She also doubles as an emotional support backpack. She is a voice of calm and reason whenever we’re discussing serious matters related to The Board.

P.S. This whole belt was just a ploy to get Sumi to re-enact “The Circle of Life” scene from The Lion King with her pet rabbit, Hachi. Summmaaay, give the jantha what they want!
